KEF 50 Years of Innovation in Sound - Limited Edition Book -
KEF 50 Years of Innovation in Sound is the definitive study of KEF's first half century, Co-authored by former KEF engineer Dr. Andrew Watson and leading audio historian Ken Kessler. The book covers the period from KEF's founding in 1961, to the release of Blade, in a story told by over 30 employees.
Dr. Watson's role as Head of Acoustics and Technical Communications provided him with the opportunity to research the history of KEF through its copious archives, the result of which form the basis of this book. He and Kessler augmented the thousands of pages of printed materials, the vast photo library and the company's production business records with over 60 hours of interviews. Current and former staff members contributed their recollections to recount the entire span of the company, back to its beginnings in the premises of Kent Engineering and Foundry, which gave the fledgling speaker brand its name. Further support and invaluable visual materials were provided by the members of founder Raymond Cooke's family. A large-format hardbound book, 50 Years of Innovation in Sound is copiously illustrated with numerous never-before-seen photographs and stunning, newly-captured images of classic models. Comprehensive listings of every product produced by KEF, including every drive unit, make this the most authoritative reference work an audio enthusiast could desire.
This 216-page book is packaged in a clever KEF branded box and shrink wrapped. The book itself measures 12" x 12" and is a beautiful addition to your den's coffee table.
